Heritage Centre, Manchester
Due to fire damage we have been commissioned to carry out a full structural design and planning package to integrate a new three storey theatre, museum and rehearsal facilities along with a state of the art dining area with a centrally glazed atrium.
The proposed building had to be linked to the existing facilities and hence detailed thought processes were required to provide a seamless integration with the existing build whilst ensuring all fire related features were not compromised. The new build consists of latticed steel frame with stepped piled foundations to cater for the dramatically inclined site to the area of the proposed extension.
