We were instructed as the lead design structural engineer to carry out an assessment on the existing 2 storey building to determine if an existing floor could be added.

This design analysis included the redesigns of the foundations and structural assess meant of the existing masonry/steel frame to ascertain the spare loading capacities.

Once this was carried out we then completed a full structural design of a steel portal frame that could then be seated over the existing building.
